Solo GP Elad Gil is targeting a combined $3.76B across three venture vehicles in his Cosmic Gimel 5 fund family, led by Cosmic - Bet 5 LP at $2.7B – his largest single vehicle to date – according to Form D filings. The predecessor series closed in September 2025 at a combined $2.78B, with each vehicle hitting its full stated offering amount.

In other GP fundraising news, Blackbird closed its sixth fund at $750M, split between an early-stage vehicle and a growth follow-on fund, with new backers including Adams Street Partners, Schroders, and Morgan Stanley Investment Management joining returning Australian superannuation investors. Elsewhere, Granite Asia surpassed the $500M target for its pan-Asia private credit strategy, Libra Hybrid, drawing new commitments from an unnamed insurer and DBS Private Bank alongside anchor LPs Temasek, Khazanah Nasional Berhad, and the Indonesia Investment Authority.

Among allocators, Korea Post's savings arm issued an RFP for one or two managers to run an offshore core-plus infrastructure equity strategy, capping commitments at $100M or €100M; Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund is set to commit $10M each to Thompson Street Capital Partners VII and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Fund XIII on consultant recommendation; and Santa Barbara County Employees' Retirement System added three real estate commitments of $7.5M each, including to KSL Capital Partners' Credit Opportunities V and Hillwood's EU Industrial Club V.

In people news, Victorian Funds Management Corporation appointed Alice Berriman, formerly a principal consultant at Frontier Advisors, as senior portfolio manager for its portfolio evolution team. And SteepRock Capital named Oliver Ostriker, previously of Adams Street Partners, as vice president and head of Eastern US capital formation.
