Friday brought big moves across sectors, even on a slow news day. In Europe, EQT is prepping a sale of GlobalConnect that could fetch €8B ($9.4B), one of the year’s biggest digital infra deals. Stone Point and CPPIB are taking control of OneDigital at a $7B valuation, while Roche is scooping up 89bio for up to $3.5B to bet on a new MASH therapy.

Sports got a headline too, with Apollo in talks for a €2.5B ($2.9B) majority stake in Atlético Madrid. NVIDIA dropped £2B ($2.7B) into the UK’s AI scene, backing Wayve and Nscale, and Parker-Hannifin closed its $1B buy of Curtis Instruments to power up its EV systems game.
